*I’ve been traveling, and the tail end of my trip included the Hope Words conference in Bluefield, WV. It was so well done, I loved it! And an added joy to see Common Good magazine have a table there, and their latest edition which includes an article I wrote, and this very poem, lake garfield!
*Bonus: here’s a real family photo we took while on vacation years ago on Lake Garfield in Western Mass, and below, I couldn’t help but add a screenshot showing the way the poem should be spaced (they had to squish it a little for Common Good).
*I mentioned a few weeks ago that many of my “resurrection” poems, for Eastertide, are about parenting. This may be the last one in that vein, or perhaps one more next week.
*Lastly, friends, thanks for all your encouraging words around my poem Vespers published on the Rabbit Room’s Poetry Substack!
Some folks are asking me about the article - here it is:

‘Catch and release’ is a great description of parenting!
